Monster.com country-filters
monster.com is dropping references to Iran, Burma/Myanmar, Cuba, Libya, North
Korea, Sudan, and Syria, not only for resumes, but also individuals and
organizations with addresses in these countries. International organizations
such as United Nations, NGOs, etc. are not exempt from this as well. So, this
means a dissident who went to top schools, and had prominent jobs in Iran before
leaving the country due to persecution is out of luck if she is looking for a
job and using Monster.com. Even officials in the U.S. Treasury are saying that
this is completely uncalled for.
